On Friday 8th May we are pleased to welcome back multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Ash Sheehan to Joe Joe Jims.
Ash is a highly accomplished musician/performer on a number of instruments (drummer, guitarist & trumpeter to name but three) and has worked with many musical luminaries – Ash is ex-Deep Purple / Black Country Communion bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes’ touring drummer and he has also undertaken studio work with Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, for example – along with featuring in a number of well-known and well-loved local acts such as indie band The Twang and garage punk band Dead Sea Skulls.
As a solo performer, Ash is well-known throughout Birmingham & the Black Country for his eclectic performances of Irish classics and party favourite anthems – delivered with emotive vocals and acoustic guitar – and we’re very much looking forward to his visit!

We’re excited to announce that we have once more secured the services of the awesome Hell’s Bells to play at JJJ on Saturday 9th May!
Hells Bells are a leading AC/DC tribute band, playing sell-out shows all over the UK and Europe – covering both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras of the band – and are known for their high-energy performances and relentless touring. Loz Rabone returns to JJJ for an afternoon of live music on Sunday 10th May when he’ll treat us to an intimate, acoustic performance.
As well as his role as vocalist/guitarist with The 3 Sixties, in his own right, Loz is a professional singer and guitarist with many years of experience performing acoustic covers drawing from a huge repertoire of rock, indie, folk and pop classics from 60’s to modern day.
A typical set would include covers from bands such as: The Beatles. Oasis, Paul Weller, The Verve, The Stereophonics, The Kooks, Chili Peppers, Kings Of Leon, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Green Day, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and The Kinks.

On Friday 22nd May we are looking forward to welcoming legendary blues singer /musician /songwriter -and 2023 ‘Acoustic Blues Act of the Year’ UK Blues Award Winner – Trevor Babajack Steger to JJJ!
Perhaps best known as a founder member of the Multi-award winning band ‘Babajack’, Trevor Babajack Steger has established himself as an accomplished solo performer. Listening to his solo albums, such as ‘Sawdust Man’ & ‘Six Foot Ten’, shows what a powerful writer, musician and performer he is, however to really appreciate his work you need to see Trevor live, to witness the transformation he undergoes during each performance: a Tour-de-force with only his guitar, harp, voice and a stompbox breathing life into rich catalogue of compositions!

On Saturday 23rd May we are excited to welcome back Love the Beatles to Joe Joe Jims for another great evening faithfully recreating the music of the Fab Four!
The band consist of four performers – Reuven Gershon (John Lennon), Dougie Orr (Paul McCartney), David Green (George Harrison) and Andy Cunningham (Ringo Starr) – that have travelled the world in various Beatles musicals and tribute shows and have now come together (pun intended!) with Love the Beatles to put on a spectacular live show playing the hit-strewn back catalogue of Liverpool’s finest!
Following their previous sell-out shows with us earlier in the year, this band are definitely one of the most requested for a return gig at JJJ, so we strongly recommend booking your tickets early as you don’t want to miss out on what will be another great night of live music when they come to town and recreate the brilliance of the Beatles live experience along with presenting classic tracks from their non-touring later years.

4-piece Queen tribute band Queen Reloaded make a welcome return to JJJ on Sunday 24th May to deliver the magic of the Queen concert experience and beyond.
Performing hit after hit from Queen’s vast catalogue of music covering all the anthems, hits and also throwing in some deep cuts for the super fans along the way. The show is Rock a la carte and guaranteed to blow your mind … anytime!
The band members are all themselves dedicated fans and feel the only way to pay homage is to perform the songs as a 4 piece with the accurate look, sound and details that true fans would expect such as Freddie playing the piano and guitar live, Roger Taylors full replica kit even with a gong! Brian May guitar solos and keyboard playing ability and John Deacons under rated melodic bass riffs.
The band insist the songs need to be played in Queen’s intended key and without the use of backing tracks stating “we are not afraid to go the extra mile with costumes and stage presence to redefine authenticity”! This is backed up by Freddie in a lycra diamond jumpsuit, Roger in a blond wig and sun glasses, Brian with a hand stitched waist coat and curly wig and John even donning Yellow shorts!

Joe Joe Jims favourite bluesman, the legendary Steve Ajao, backed by the excellent Blues Giants, will be returning to JJJ on Friday 29th May.
Now in its fourth decade, the Blues Giants trio play authentic classic American Blues with Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Parker, Johnny Guitar Watson evident in their set, all played with a cheeky smile on their faces!
We’re looking forward to a great night of blues with Steve Ajao and the boys (George Cook – bass, and drummer Pete ‘Washboard’ Hammond) who bring a wealth of musical experience to the stage and always put on a great show.

On Saturday 30th May we are looking forward to the welcome return of the excellent SOS Sounds of Soul to Joe Joe Jims.
The band performing a wide-range of funk, soul, Motown, and R’n’B hits from across the decades by artists such as Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Lionel Richie and many more. The band, featuring Tara Chinn and Katie Chance on vocals, say “we can get your party started and help make it a night to remember”: sounds good to us!
