We’re very excited to announce that we have secured the services of legendary folk, blues, rock, country – and a whole host of other styles over the years – singer-songwriter (and yes, brother of Rolling Stone Mick) Chris Jagger to take the JJJ stage on Friday 30th May!
It’s a little tricky to provide a brief overview of Chris’s career which has spanned many roles – theatre, cinema, clothing design (he designed a jacket for Jimi Hendrix no less!), journalism and music – and many decades … his debut album coming in 1973 mixing country, blues, and rock.
In addition to over a dozen solo albums, he has worked with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Sam Brown, Dave Gilmour and Dave Stewart and has been formed the bands Atcha! and Chris Jagger’s Acoustic Trio over the years, along with guesting on various albums and projects, including several collaborations with brother Mick which he modestly attributes to “I have been so fortunate knowing other excellent musicians far above me in their competence, yet they value my contribution as I come up with lyrics and ideas“.
We don’t know the setlist Chris will choose for the show – he has written and performed over 100 songs during his career and his work spans multiple genres – but we are certain it will be a great evening of live music from one of its true legends!
We’re expecting very high-demand for this show and so we’d recommending booking early.
