Cum on feel the noize on Saturday 25th July when Slade UK bring their tribute to Wolverhampton’s finest, glam rock legends Slade, to the JJJ stage!

Since 2011 Slade UK have amazed and thrilled audiences all across the UK and Europe, recreating the look and raw power of Noddy and the boys at their very best: Slade UK are now one of the top tribute acts in the country. With nearly 3 hours of material to pick from, Slade UK are able to deliver all the classic 1970’s hits as well as the 80’s chart toppers Slade were never able to play live themselves.

We’re really looking forward to this one and expect tickets to sell-out sharpish for what will undoubtedly be one hell of a party atmosphere and a great singalong to classics such as Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Coz I Luv You, Gudbuy T’Jane, Far Far Away and many, many more … will we get Merry Xmas Everybody in July? We’re excited to announce that we have once again secured the services of rock and roll legend Mike Sanchez – backed by 4-piece band The Portions- to play at JJJ on Saturday 1st August!

British singer and pianist Mike Sanchez is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers in the world of rhythm & blues and rock ‘n’ roll. His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano in a soaking suit, has won him fans from all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him.

In a stellar careers that’s seen Mike play alongside such giants as Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Albert Lee and Dave Gilmour along with a 4 year stint with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, Mike – of whom Mark Lamarr said “Mike Sanchez would have invented rock ‘n’ roll if no one else had bothered!” – has travelled the world spreading the joy of rock ‘n’ roll and R&B wherever he can!

Special Guests are Vee-Jay King and his Dukes who’ll be serving-up a glorious mix of West Coast Rhythm and Blues and the Swamp Blues of Louisiana. Like the music of T Bone Walker, Gatemouth Brown, Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester etc? You’ll love this band of top Midlands based musicians!

On Friday 7th August we welcome passionate roots rocker loaded with guitar firepower James Oliver & his band back to JJJ.

Oliver’s father introduced him at an early age to vintage rock and lists among his influences influences fellow Welshmen Dave Edmunds, Geraint Watkins and Deke Leonard with the band providing high energy bluesy rock & roll with a large dose of Americana and guitar wizardry.

Since 2012, first with his band GLAS, and now with The James Oliver Band, James has won the admiration of his audiences logging an astounding 1800 performances in venues far and wide across the UK and Europe; while grabbing the attention of guitar players everywhere that he and his band perform, winning Emerging Artist of the Year – UK Blues Awards in 2020.

James and the band put on a great show last time they appeared at JJJ and we’re really looking forward to another high energy, guitar-driven show mixing a “fiery mix of blues, rockabilly, rock and roll with lashings of true rhythm and blues on the side” … and recommend you come along too!

The UK’s finest tribute to all things Two Tone, the mighty Skabucks, make a welcome return to the JJJ stage on Saturday 8th August!

Bromsgrove’s very own Skabucks formed in 2008, have well over 1000 gigs under their belts, and have enjoyed a career that has seen them work with The Pogues, The Move and members of The Specials and play at many large music festivals as headline act.

Playing classic hits from the original 60’s Ska and the revival Two-Tone era, the irresistible rhythms and in-your-face, rock-steady beat of Skabucks comes complete with a no-quibble guarantee to get everyone on the floor or, as the band put it, Skabucks are “badass mother-funkers delivering the top end of maximum Ska and Two-Tone” … and you can’t argue with that!

On Friday 14th August legendary Worcestershire blues/blues-rock 4-piece Slowburner are back in business and hitting the JJJ stage.

Originally formed in 1987, never compromising their blues soaked rock sound and style, the band play real rhythm and blues in the style of Free, Zepp, Pie, Gallagher etc. With a live reputation that is second to none the list of acts they have supported reads like a who’s who of rock and blues…Peter Green, Humble Pie, Stan Webb, Thunder, Mick Taylor, Wishbone Ash, Pat Travers, Bernie Marsden, Magnum, Andy Fraser, Budgie, Maggie Bell, Mountain, Dr Feelgood, Ian Gillan, Steve Gibbons, Groundhogs, Mick Ralphs, Robert Plant (so impressed that he has joined them onstage on no less than three separate occasions).

And speaking of Mr. Plant, he once said of Slowburner: “Great band and Paul Bridgwater is a great singer who continues the tradition of British blues soul singers” … and praise don’t come higher than that!

On Saturday 29th August we welcome Katie B & The Snooks to JJJ who’ll be bringing some high-energy boogie woogie with a touch of soul!

Katie B and the Snooks are an exciting addition to the UK blues and roots scene, led by acclaimed vocalist, songwriter and harmonica player Katie Bradley. Since emerging in 2012, Katie has gained recognition for her powerful, soulful voice and collaborations with leading blues artists across the UK and beyond.

Joining her are The Snooks—a dynamic group of musicians bringing their own flair to the stage. Guitarist Kieren Marsh delivers passionate blues guitar inspired by legends like B.B. King and Buddy Guy, while Francesco Ernesto brings vibrant New Orleans-style boogie-woogie piano. Drummer Mykola Mishurenko completes the lineup with driving rhythms and global groove influences.

Together they blend boogie woogie blues, soul and swing, creating a high-energy sound where Beale Street meets Bourbon Street!

On Sunday 30th August we are excited to welcome back The Subterraneans to JJJ for another afternoon of classic rock anthems from some of the world’s biggest rock bands.

Over a twenty six year life span The Subterraneans have not only built a reputation as one of the best covers bands around, they have also backed some of the most influential artists of the modern age – including cult punk queen Hazel O’Connor and new wave star Toyah Wilcox, to name but two – who the band have toured and recorded with for over 20 years, performing at many of the largest venues in the UK from Glastonbury Festival to the LG Arenas.
