Hells Bells are a leading AC/DC tribute band, playing sell-out shows all over the UK and Europe – covering both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras of the band – and are known for their high-energy performances and relentless touring. On Friday 21st November we are pleased to welcome Alchemy ReLived to JJJ with their tribute to Dire Straits.
West Midlands-based Alchemy ReLived pride themselves on recreating the classic Dire Straits sound as closely as authentically as possible in a live setting. For lovers of ‘Straits’, and Mark Knopfler in general, this show should be a ‘must see’ and will contain many of the well known classics – Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Tunnel of Love etc – as well as some deeper cuts … or in the band’s own words: “performing some of the best music that Dire Straits ever created“.
Since 2019, the band have been faithfully recreating the sound and spirit of one of the most iconic rock bands of the ’80s with a passion for the music and attention to detail and always “aim to give fans the experience of seeing Dire Straits live” … and you can’t argue with that!

On Saturday 22nd November The Melvin Hancox Band make a welcome return to Joe Joe Jims.
Melvin has had a varied musical career from securing his first record deal at 16 to forming Joe Joe Jims favourites Vincent Flatts Final Drive and working with Budgie, Man, Tony McPhee, Canned Heat and the Ace Kefford, among many others.
The power trio – also featuring Mickey Barker on drums and James Hoskins on bass – plays original material along with a smattering of classic rock (Highway to Hell and Freebird have been known to put in an appearance, among others) and blues covers with their own twist – or in their words, “blues/rock played with more psychedelic experience and imagination than most“ – and we have enjoyed many great gigs from them over the years at JJJ.

The UK’s finest tribute to all things Two Tone, the mighty Skabucks, make a welcome return to the JJJ stage on Friday 28th November!
Bromsgrove’s very own Skabucks formed in 2008, have well over 1000 gigs under their belts, and have enjoyed a career that has seen them work with The Pogues, The Move and members of The Specials and play at many large music festivals as headline act.
Playing classic hits from the original 60’s Ska and the revival Two-Tone era, the irresistible rhythms and in-your-face, rock-steady beat of Skabucks comes complete with a no-quibble guarantee to get everyone on the floor or, as the band put it, Skabucks are “badass mother-funkers delivering the top end of maximum Ska and Two-Tone” … and you can’t argue with that!

On Saturday 29th November we are excited to welcome back Love the Beatles to Joe Joe Jims for another great evening faithfully recreating the music of the Fab Four!
The band consist of four performers – Reuven Gershon (John Lennon), Dougie Orr (Paul McCartney), David Green (George Harrison) and Andy Cunningham (Ringo Starr) – that have travelled the world in various Beatles musicals and tribute shows and have now come together (pun intended!) with Love the Beatles to put on a spectacular live show playing the hit-strewn back catalogue of Liverpool’s finest!
Following their previous sell-out shows with us earlier in the year, this band are definitely one of the most requested for a return gig at JJJ, so we strongly recommend booking your tickets early as you don’t want to miss out on what will be another great night of live music when they come to town and recreate the brilliance of the Beatles live experience along with presenting classic tracks from their non-touring later years.

The Core Reggae Band make a welcome return to Joe Joe Jims on Friday 5th December!
The Band – featuring Dean Hopkins on bass and vocals, Lee Mcmanus on Guitar and vocals, Michael “Moggy” Lackner on drums and the one and only reggae legend himself John “POPS” Dowling on percussion – will be singing hits of UB40, Bob Marley, John Holt, Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Ken Boothe, Aswad, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Gregory Isaacs and many many more.
These musicians have been playing together for over 20 years in different party function bands and tribute acts all over the UK and Ireland, but now they have been joined by the legend that is pops John Dowling. Pops has worked with UB40 for many years, and has collaborated with numerous reggae artists including Tarrus Riley, John Holt, Ken Boothe and the great dancehall artists Sean Paul and Don Yute, to name but a few.

On Saturday 13th December we are excited to welcome back rapidly rising star of the contemporary blues scene Alice Armstrong to JJJ!
Known for her wide vocal range, unconventional lyrics, red hair, red light-sensitivity glasses and an unrivalled stage presence, Alice Armstrong’s songs have so far reached the top 20 in the most played albums of the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association and has been nominated for four different categories in the UK Blues awards over the last few years, winning Contemporary Artist of the year at the 2024 Awards.
Alice has strutted many stages of the UK’s biggest rhythm & blues festivals, completed more European tours and featured in the UK Blues Awards and finds great joy in collaboration and has co-written songs and albums with Matt Long (Catfish), the Stevie Watts Organ Trio and the Cinelli Brothers.
Alice credits Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Donnie Hathaway, Amy Winehouse, Peggy Lee and Dinah Washington to be just some of her musical influences, peppering her performances with her trademark sense of humour garnered from the likes of the Goon Show, French & Saunders and Monty Python.

On Sunday 14th December, as a festive treat, we thought everyone would like a great party atmosphere and a good sing along so we are pleased to present a Tribute to Sweden’s Finest with ABBA Alike!
Of course, ABBA need no introduction and ABBA Alike are one of the leading ABBA Tribute groups on the circuit recreating the classic harmonies of Agnetha and Anni-Frid on all of the classic hits of the group.

The 3 Sixties make a festive return to Joe Joe Jims on Friday 19th December.
Recreating the sharp-suited culture of the era, The 3 Sixties present a professional and authentic visual performance to compliment the high calibre of the music and vibe. The 3 Sixties performance will transport you to the swinging sixties with the look and sounds of the time.
The 3 Sixties deliver a high energy, high quality show which authentically recreates the sounds & style of the Swinging Sixties. Their show is a journey through the decade that brought us The British Invasion, Beatlemania, Mods & Rockers & the Psychedelic ”summer of love”. The band is comprised of seasoned professional musicians (the keen eyed among you may spot JJJ stalwart Loz Rabone among their ranks) who have perfected their craft by extensively touring in the UK as well as performing on the international stage.
